A Rough Greensnake from Robertson County, Texas.
This is the only bright green snake in our area.
Rough Greensnakes are gentle insect eaters.
When disturbed, they may open their mouths in threat, but they never bite!
Rough Greensnakes are usually found in trees and bushes near water, where they are very hard to see!
Occasionally they can be seen crawling on the ground.
